Over the past few months, I’ve been reshaping how I work with writers.
I've torn the whole place down and rebuilt it on the philosophies I’ve been shaping in the Forge. Not just what I offer, but the why behind it.
What it means to take writing seriously without turning it into another performative hustle.
What it means to bring back your fire. 🐦🔥
This isn’t about “content strategies” or quick hacks that mass produce a whole lot of MEH.
It’s about giving serious writers a place to sharpen their craft, find tools that actually help, and keep the fire alive in their work.
Every essay I’ve written this summer has been pointing to this moment.
Not a rebrand (not yet), but a release: a suite of new ways for writers (and readers who love what I do) to plug in.
Some of this will feel familiar, some of it brand new, all of it sharpened by the Forge.
Here’s what’s coming...
🔥 Editorial partnerships, reimagined. 1-to-1 Strategy Sessions and Editing that cut through the noise and help you shape the pieces you meant to write (including a couple pay-what-you-can sessions at the beginning of every month, for folks who want to chat about their writing life but might not have the cash-in-hand right now.)
🔥 Seasonal workshops and writing programs. Think less productivity challenge, more creative reset. Create a writing life that grows along with you through your seasons, instead of working against them to follow whatever routine the newest guru said would fix you.
🔥 The Forge at CYC. This is the biggest release! The Forge will connect through Patreon to provide a low-maintenance way to support our work, peek behind the curtain, and get access to tools, exclusive essays, expert interviews, editing breakdowns, and more.
🔥 Become a Master Writer. The annual session kicks off this month (September) with all the heat and hammering you’d expect from the forge. Updated lessons and a laser-focus on who you want to become as a writer, on your own path to mastery.
This is the biggest shift in years!
Not just in what I offer, but also in how it all fits together.
Everything isn't polished perfect yet...but that’s the point.
A forge is messy, hot, and alive.
